Crews are attending to a rollover crash that occurred on Wednesday morning along Highway 19 near Nanoose Bay.
Crews are attending to a rollover crash that occurred on Wednesday morning near Nanoose Bay.
Police, firefighters and the BC Emergency Health Services were on the scene following the crash, which was located between Nanoose First Nation and Northwest Bay Road.
The incident occurred in the northbound lane and traffic has been completely shut down in that direction.
One person involved in the crash was extricated from the wreckage of the rollover and loaded into a helicopter to be airlifted to hospital.
Traffic is being affected in the southbound direction as well, with cars moving slowly past the crash site.
This is a developing story and will be updated when more information is available.
