Health Canada recalls USB chargers for risk of electric shock and fire

A massive recall from Health Canada Tuesday of unsafe USB chargers that pose a risk of electric shock and fire.

The recall affects more than two dozen chargers and more than 1.5 million units.

Consumers are advised to stop using the listed products immediately and either return them or throw them away.

Health Canada also suggests looking for a recognized certification mark on electrical products before purchasing them.

The agency says the certification symbol should be on the product itself, not just the packaging.
