Gateway crime: Nanaimo RCMP searches for rightful owner of stolen doors

It is definitely not the kind of stolen property Nanaimo RCMP is in the habit of recovering.

The Mounties say they were called to the 100-block of Bastion Street on Sunday after a caller told them he’d seen four doors resting next to a building.

They say the doors don’t appear to have been there for very long and officers suspect they may have come from a nearby construction site.

The items were seized but, so far, no one has come forward to claim them.

Three of the doors are white, the other one is green. Three are standard size while one is a bi-fold door designed for a closet.

If you are missing your doors, call Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345 to claim them and refer to file number 2019-38177.
