Driver fined for throwing ice cream at Tesla in Oak Bay road rage incident

CHEK

Oak Bay police say a teenaged man was ticketed for littering after he threw his ice cream sundae at another vehicle during a road rage incident last week.

Police say the encounter was recorded on dash cam at the intersection of Cedar Hill Cross Road and University Drive around 1 a.m. on Sept. 18.

Both drivers “exchanged obscene hand gestures” before the 19-year-old driver threw his McDonald’s garbage – including a sundae – at the other vehicle, which was a Tesla.

Police say the Tesla’s onboard devices recorded the incident, and investigators eventually tracked down the young man.

The teen was handed an $81 ticket for depositing litter under the motor vehicle act for his part in the incident, according to police.
