Cougar possibly spotted in Saanich’s Bow Park

Saanich police are warning the public after a person possibly spotted a cougar while walking in Bow Park Monday.

Police say they are unable to confirm the sighting, made only by the resident around 12:30 p.m. while walking in the 3900 block of Bow Road.

Still they are asking residents in the area to be vigilant and aware of their surroundings while utilizing the park.

Any additional sightings should be reported to police.
