BC Ferries has announced a 1.5 per cent fuel rebate, passing on the savings from the recent declines in fuel costs to customers, starting April 1.
The company is also delaying annual tariff adjustments due to COVID-19 and the impact it is having on ferry users.
The recent drop in gas and oil prices due to COVID-19 fuelled the discount for customers.
“BC Ferries closely monitors the price of fuel and applies a rebate or surcharge, or neither, under a regulatory process that is independent of fares,” said the company in a press release.
The date of the tariff adjustment, originally planned for April 1, has not been determined.
