The Surrey RCMP have issued a province-wide amber alert asking the public to keep an eye out for two young children.

Police are looking for eight-year-old Aurora Bolton and 10-year-old Joshuah Bolton.

Aurora is described as a white girl who stands 3’11” tall with brown eyes and brown, shoulder-length hair. Her front left upper tooth is chipped, and she has small freckles on her face.

She was last seen wearing a blue dress with coloured flowers on it.

Meanwhile, Joshua is described as a white boy with brown hair and blue eyes who stands 4’10”. He was last seen wearing shorts and a t-shirt.

Mounties say the kids’ mother, Verity Bolton, is suspected of abducting the children.

Verity is described as a 45-year-old white woman who stands 5’2” and weighs 119 pounds. She has brown eyes and long brown hair – usually tied in a ponytail – and was last seen wearing black cargo pants and a black sweater.

“The children have been in the company of their mother since June 28, 2023, when they departed Surrey, B.C.,” said the Surrey RCMP in a release Wednesday. “They were supposed to be returned to their father, who has primary custody, on July 17, 2023 but they were not and no one has been able to make contact with them.”

Police say the kids were last seen at Kraftys Kitchen & Bar in Kelowna.

Mounties believe Verity may be travelling in a blue 2012 Dodge D250 truck, with licence plate number SJ2708, pictured below.

“At this point in the investigation, based on the totality of information that has been obtained through the investigative steps taken yesterday and today, Surrey RCMP determined that this case met the criteria for an Amber ALERT,” said RCMP.

“Surrey RCMP are concerned for the health and well-being of Aurora Bolton and Joshuah Bolton.”

Anyone who sees the children are asked not to approach and to call 911.

On Wednesday afternoon, an amber alert related to the missing kids was sent out to devices across the province.
