WATCH: The Victoria Grizzlies took down the Wenatchee Wild on the road by a score of 3-1, marking the first time the Grizzlies have ever beaten the Wild.

The captain, Alex Newhook scored the opening goal just 40 seconds into the game, setting the tone for Victoria.

The Wild would tie the game early in the second period, but the Grizz would answer right back; on the power play, the newcomer Kenny Johnson would squeak home his first goal as a member of the Grizzlies to give Victoria a 2-1 lead.

Victoria netminder Kurtis Chapman would weather the storm late, as Jordan Guiney would pot the empty netter and secure the win.
