A group of youths allegedly involved in a stabbing at Ruth King Elementary school in Langford in June have been identified, according to West Shore RCMP.

A youth was found with knife wounds just after 11 p.m. on June 26, 2019, after emergency crews responded to an altercation at the school at 2764 Jacklin Road.

The youth was taken to hospital in serious condition.

At the end of December, West Shore RCMP released surveillance videos of a group of male youths believed to be involved in the incident.  Police said the two groups of youths were persons of interest.

“We are pleased to state that the youth depicted in the video have been identified and been in contact with investigators,” Const. Nancy Saggar, the West Shore RCMP media relations officer said in the statement.

“The Serious Crimes Unit continues their investigation into the aggravated assault.”
