The West Shore RCMP is currently investigating a report of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle in Colwood following a hit-and-run.

The West Shore RCMP is currently investigating a report of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle in Colwood following a hit-and-run.

In a police report issued on Friday, police say that the incident occurred on January 5, 2021, at approximately 11:15 p.m.

According to patrol officers, a woman was walking through the crosswalk on Wishart Rd and Salton Dr when she was struck by a vehicle.

The woman suffered minor injuries and was helped by a nearby bystander.

Police say that they were told the driver did not stop to check on the woman and drove away quickly up Salton Dr toward Stornoway Rd.

Police canvassed the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

The suspect vehicle is described as being a small 4-door car possibly blue in colour. The vehicle licence plate is unknown. If you were the driver of this vehicle please do the right thing call us and identify yourself to the police, we need to talk to you, said Cst. Nancy Saggar, West Shore RCMP Media Relations Officer.
