Another winning lottery ticket worth $1 million has been purchased on Vancouver Island and has yet to be claimed.

British Columbia Lottery Corporation has confirmed with CHEK News that a winning Lotto 6/49 Guaranteed Prize ticket was purchased in the Sooke area.

The draw was done on Wednesday, March 24.

Lottery players are encouraged to check their tickets as, earlier this month, a winning ticket worth the same amount went a full year without being claimed.

That ticket was purchased in the northern region of Vancouver Island with the corporation emphasizing it was somewhere in the areas of Alert Bay, Telegraph Cove, Port Hardy, Coal Harbour and Port McNeill, among other municipalities.

For the winning ticket that was purchased in Sooke, BCLC says more information will be provided about the exact location where the ticket was purchased when the winner comes forward to claim their prize.

The winning numbers from last night’s draw can be found online here.
