Environment Canada is warning East Vancouver Island residents of strong winds in the forecast Monday that could cause damage.
A Pacific storm is bringing with it strong southeast winds.
Exposed coastal sections from Courtenay to Campbell River and Nanoose Bay to Fanny Bay are expected to get gusts of 70 kilometres per hour tonight.
Those winds are expected to ease overnight or Tuesday morning.
