The West Shore RCMP is on the lookout for a truck that was used to steal two ATVs (all-terrain vehicles) and the trailer they were placed on earlier this week.

Mounties say the theft occurred around 7:15 a.m. on Sunday, based on video surveillance that was recorded at the time.

The video shows the large truck driving onto the Island Earth Landscaping business lot, located at 1039 Langford Pkwy., and driving off after attaching the trailer and two ATVs.

The truck is described as a dark-coloured, newer model four-door F150 pickup truck with a large dent on the passenger side door frame. It has tinted front and rear windows, and did not have a licence plate.

Police say the driver of the truck was wearing a yellow high-visibility jacket.

Mounties are asking the community to help identify the truck and driver.

Anyone with dashcam video of the area on June 16, between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m., is asked to review their footage and contact RCMP if they recorded the suspect vehicle.

Meanwhile, one of the ATVs is described as a blue 2020 Yamaha ATV with B.C. licence plate 19256X.

The other ATV is described as a green Yamaha ATV with no licence plate attached.

Anyone with information on the stolen items or theft itself is asked to call the West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously online or at 1-800-222-8477.
