Arctic air and northeasterly winds are the talk of our region. This type of weather pattern that is pummeling B.C.’s South Coast is only experienced every few decades. While the snow subsided on Saturday, there is very little downtime in between systems. The next snow-maker is expected Sunday afternoon, but the amount of snow that will fall remains uncertain at this time. A wind warning remains in effect for southern sections of the Island. Winds are expected to top 90 km/h in Greater Victoria overnight on Saturday.
