WATCH: Flurries will fall over parts of the Island this evening. Ceilidh Millar has your long-range forecast.
Winter is not over yet for Vancouver Island, as a snowfall warning has been issued by Environment Canada from Duncan to Nanaimo.
Snowfall amounts are still uncertain, but we’re anticipating anywhere from a few centimetres to more than ten centimetres over higher elevations. There is also a special weather statement in place for East Vancouver Island as well as Greater Victoria due to this Arctic front moving in from the Interior.
A wind warning remains in effect this evening for Victoria with gusts expected to top 70 km/h. Conditions are expected to improve by Sunday afternoon.
