Environment Canada has reinstated the smoky skies bulletin for all of Vancouver Island and the Southern Gulf Islands. The winds are expected to continue to push the smoky haze from the wildfires in B.C.’s Interior across the Island today. The forecast calls for scattered showers and cooler conditions with overnight temperatures in the low teens. The radar is picking up a secondary low-pressure system that could clear our current air mass. This has the potential to remove the smoky haze from the Island’s skies within the coming days.
