Victoria’s Nick Pivetta reflects on rookie MLB season

WATCH: After a breakout rookie season with the Philadelphia Phillies, Victoria’s Nick Pivetta returns home for the offseason, and reflects on a rollercoaster campaign for the 24-year-old.

For Lambrick Park Secondary Grad and former Victoria HarbourCat Nick Pivetta, he came into the 2017 MLB season hoping to make the Philadelphia Phillies for September call-ups, but his call came much sooner. On April 30th, Pivetta made his first MLB start against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium.

As the season progressed, Pivetta was sent down twice and called up eventually. Pivetta would finish the season with an 8-10 record, capped off by a strong string of starts to end the 2017 campaign.

Pivetta reflects on the good times, the bad times, and his expectations for the upcoming season.
