One man was taken to hospital Tuesday afternoon after a shooting outside a residence on Bay Street.
Just after 12:45 p.m., officers were called to the 1500-block of Bay Street, between Forbes and Victor Streets, for a report of a shooting outside a home. When officers arrived, one man was taken to hospital.
According to Insp. Grant Hamilton with VicPD, the man was in his early 40s.
The area was closed by police and residents were told to stay indoors.

The area has been cleared for residents by 3:30 p.m. and police say there is nothing to indicate a risk to the public at this time.
Police say Bay Street will remain closed for several more hours while officers investigate.
