Victoria police are asking for help in solving the 32-year-old cold case of Dennis Crook, who went missing in October 1985.

Dennis was first reported missing on Oct. 22, 1985.

He was last seen on Oct. 16, 1985, and was reported missing by friends. Dennis was 34-years-old when he went missing and would be 66 now. He is described by police as Caucasian, 5’9″ with a medium to large build. Police do not have any photographs of Dennis.

Police said part of solving the international missing person search involves locating Dennis sister, Lillian Crook. Lillian is known to have resided in Holgate, a suburb of York in northeast England. VicPD are reaching out to North Yorkshire police and Holgate residents to try and find Lillian.

Dennis was born in England and finished grade 13 in York. He graduated from the University of Nottingham with a bachelor of arts degree.

Victoria police would also like to speak with Dennis’ friends in Victoria, including those who initially reported him missing and others who knew Dennis.
