Zellers pop-up stores will be rolling out to 21 more Hudson’s Bay locations across Canada, including Victoria and Nanaimo.
The stores will open by August 11 and will have an assortment of Zellers merchandise for nostalgic Canadians to peruse.
The company says these pop-ups serve as a market test to determine whether a future Zellers store will thrive in that market.
“Pop-ups are a key ingredient in our expansion strategy, allowing us to explore and test in new markets, gather valuable customer insights, and fine-tune our offering before establishing larger format store locations,” says Sophia Hwang-Judiesch, president of Hudson’s Bay.
“Our customers are very much part of our growth process, and together we will shape the future of Zellers, building a shopping experience that truly connects with communities across Canada.”
There are five B.C. locations for Zellers, including the ones at Victoria and Nanaimo, and the remaining stores will launch in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Quebec.
The locations will be:
