Victoria International Marina for sale after opening in 2017

Nearly four years after it first opened its moors, a multi-million dollar marina along Victoria’s Inner Harbour is up for sale.

The Victoria International Marina, which opened in Vic West in 2017, has hit the market, offering a “special and unique opportunity to own a piece of the Inner Harbour,” said Chris Rust, senior vice-president for Investment Properties Group – Victoria.

Rust says current tenant Boom and Batten has a long-term lease in place and is expected to remain operating through any change in ownership.

He said the owners’ decision to sell is most likely a family decision, and COVID-19 could play a factor.

He declined to name a specific listing price for the marina, instead opting to let the market decipher the value.

“A marina like this, with the quality and thought and craftsmanship that went into developing this, it’s unique,” Rust said.

The “world-class facility” includes a multi-purpose marina office building, Boom and Batten, 28 moorage slips and 48 underground parking stalls, according to a listing brochure.

It’s aimed at attracting owners, both local and international, of 65- to 175-foot yachts.
