Victoria Police have released surveillance video showing a woman being struck in a downtown hit and run as they attempt to locate a suspect.
The woman was struck in a marked crosswalk at Douglas and Courtney streets just before 3 a.m. Saturday, police said in a news release.
Video shows it turning into the crosswalk from Douglas onto Courtney, striking the woman, then taking off from the scene.
The woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released from hospital.
Police say the suspect vehicle is a grey BMW sedan that was last seen heading eastbound on Courtney Street.
Anyone who recognizes the vehicle or who has information is asked to call Victoria Police at 250-995-7654 extension 1 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
