Alternative transportation will become available to those affected by the upcoming Johnson Street Bridge closure this weekend.
For a $2 fee, Victoria Harbour Ferry will shuttle passengers between the Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe dock, the Victoria Regent Waterfront Hotel, and the Causeway Floats near the Empress Hotel on Saturday, Jan. 27 and Sunday, Jan. 28.
Ferry hours will be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are one-way and cannot be reserved beforehand.
In a statement, Barry Hobbis, vice president of Operations at Victoria Harbour Ferry Company says the move is about assisting the community.
“We believe the service will provide an alternative route for those who are impacted by the closure,” he said.
