The Victoria Police Department has arrested two men and seized replica firearms, bear spray, and carbon fibre knuckles after a report of shots fired on Dec. 18.

In a press release, officers state that the incident occurred shortly before 11 a.m. last Friday when police were called to the 1100-block of Wharf Street.

VicPD say patrol officers received a report about two men who were shooting pistols into the water of the Inner Harbour.

Police managed to locate the men following the report and arrest them near Fort Street and Langley Street, according to the release.

After searching the two men following the arrest, police found a replica firearm on both individuals, along with a set of carbon fibre knuckles and bear spray.

Police note that in addition to the possession of the replica firearm, one of the men was the subject of an unendorsed warrant in relation to a break and enter investigation.

Both men were transported by patrol officers to cells at the Victoria Police Department in order to await a court date.
