Victoria Police say a 12-year-old found a samurai sword in a bush in Esquimalt, and they’re now hoping to find its rightful owner.
Police say the child’s parent called the non-emergency line after her child came home carrying the sword.
The parent said the samurai sword was found on the E&N trail on Sept. 19 in the buses near the intersection of Colville and Admirals roads.
Officers are hoping to find the rightful owner, and to learn how it ended up in the bushes.
Anyone who recognizes the sword is asked to call the VicPD Report Desk at (250) 995-7654, extension 1.
