UVic professor hopes science solves soccer’s diving blunders

WATCH: It’s a blemish on the beautiful game. And one UVic science professor is out to end it.

E. Paul Zehr is a  kinesiology and neuroscience professor at the University of Victoria, and recently wrote a paper on fake diving and the hopes of soccer referees not falling for the antics. While the FIFA World Cup has had many highlights and memorable finishes, it’s also had its fair share of embellishment. With new video replay protocol and the science technology available, Zehr hopes to see more brought into the game to stop the diving and keep the game clean.
