Trial for Oak Bay father charged with killing daughters to be held in Vancouver

The trial of the Oak Bay man charged with killing his two daughters on Christmas Day will be held in Vancouver.

Andrew Berry’s trial is scheduled to start on April 8, 2019, in the Supreme Court of Vancouver.

Berry, 43, is charged with two counts of second-degree murder in the death of six-year-old Chloe and four-year-old Aubrey Berry. Police found the bodies of the young sisters on Dec. 25, 2017, in Berry’s apartment.

He remains in custody. A publication ban on court proceedings is still in effect.

Second-degree murder carries a minimum sentence of life, with no parole possible for 10 years.
