In Tahsis, there are two people running for mayor and eight for councillor positions.
Advance voting on Oct. 5 and general voting day will be Oct. 15. Both will run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Tahsis Recreation Centre.
Martin Davis, the current mayor, is seeking re-election, and Pascal Pelletier is also seeking the seat.
There are four councillor seats up for election.
Two incumbent councillors are seeking re-election – Sarah Fowler and Cheryl Northcott.
Samuel Adams, Mervyn Brown, Douglas Elliott, Shawna Gagne, Meggan Joseph, and Elena Puente are seeking a councillor seat.
In 2018, 224 people voted for a voter turnout with 90.3 per cent.
