Police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a meat shop in Saanich.

Police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a meat shop in Saanich.

The incident took place at an M&M Food Market on the corner of Burnside Road West and Tillicum Road on March 7, according to the Saanich Police Department.

Saanich Police say the male suspect walked into the store, demanded money, and then left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. He then went through the plaza and was last seen walking north on Burnside Road West towards Interurban Road.

The suspect is described as a six-foot-tall man between 40 and 50 years of age. He was last seen wearing a grey/beige trench coat, black pants and brown leather shoes.

Anyone with dashcam footage or video footage who was in the area at around 12:26 p.m. on March 7 is asked to contact the department at 250-475-4321.
