WATCH: After a rainy weekend, the sunshine will return for the start of the work week. Ceilidh Millar has your long-range forecast from the annual Oak Bay Christmas Tree Light-up.
A system moving in from the subtropics will cause the precipitation to continue Sunday evening for most of the Island. A flood warning has been issued for communities along the Somass River, near the Port Alberni area. We’re expecting a break from this stormy weather during the day on Monday. However, by Monday evening, a low-pressure system forming along the Alaskan panhandle will generate another round of stormy weather which will affect the Island for the next few days.
