A strong ridge of high pressure anchored over B.C.’s south coast continues to keep skies clear.

However, arctic air is still circulating over the region, keeping temperatures just a few degrees above freezing.

Wind also plays a role in these cold, clear days and nights, as wind chills (how cold it actually feels on your skin when the wind is factored in) drop the apparent temperatures anywhere from 2 to 5 degrees.

So, for example, -2 overnight may feel more like -6.
