Victoria Police have recovered a significant amount of stolen jewellery and other property following a vehicle stop on Thursday.

Victoria police have recovered a significant amount of stolen jewellery and other property following a vehicle stop on Thursday.

The incident took place at approximately 4:30 p.m. on August 6 in the 200-block of Menzies Street when patrol officers stopped a vehicle driven by a known property offender, police said.

After stopping the man, officers saw a large amount of property in the vehicle including jewellery, new shoes, sunglasses, power tools, and purses.

Police say they arrested the man and seized the stolen items from his vehicle. VicPD is hoping to reunite the rightful owners with the stolen items, seen pictured below:

Officers said they also seized a replica firearm that was in the man’s vehicle.

Police said they are continuing to investigate the stolen property.
