A valuable search and rescue dog harness stolen from a pet show in Victoria over the weekend as been handed in to police.

VicPD posted a message on social media on Tuesday night saying they’d recuperated the harness and returned it to its rightful owners.

They included a photo of SAR dog Maxxii and her handler Angela Lavergne with the item.

On Monday, an anonymous donor and a local company, Cerberus K9 solutions, provided Angela and Maxxii with a replacement harness.

Cerberus owner Miguel Rodriguez also donated the money he’d been given for the replacement to the Search and Rescue Dog Association of Victoria

VicPD did not reveal if they’d made any arrests in connection with theft, or if they’d retrieved a number of other items stolen during Pet-A-Palooza on Saturday on the grounds of St. Ann’s Academy in Victoria.
