Steve Nash thanks Victoria basketball legends in Hall of Fame speech

WATCH: In his Basketball Hall of Fame speech, Victoria’s Steve Nash spoke volumes about the local basketball community in helping him get to the sport’s highest level.

 

Steve Nash, who is a two-time NBA MVP and Victoria’s most decorated basketball player, thanked the likes of Ken Shields and Ian Hyde-Lay for helping him become a star in the game.

Nash spent 18 seasons in the NBA, with his best years as a member of the Phoenix Suns in the mid-2000’s.

Nash is a member of the elite 50-40-90 club, shooting over 50% from the field, 40% from behind the three-point line and over 90 per cent from the free throw line over his illustrious career.
