A plane has crashed at the Duncan airport.

According to a member of the Duncan Flying Club, which operates out of the Duncan airport, a four-seater small aircraft with three people on board skidded off the runway and ended up in a gravel pit shortly after landing at around 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

He said first responders attended the scene and that all three passengers suffered minor injuries. He also said the plane involved was “not from around here” but that he didn’t have any further details.

The airport is about three kilometres south of downtown Duncan and is located beside a large sand and gravel pit.

CHEK News reached out to Duncan Fire Department, who directed our inquiry to the RCMP. We have reached out to the RCMP for further details.
