Car enthusiasts will be flocking to Sidney this weekend for a car show in the town’s core.
The Torque Masters Sidney Summer Car Show is taking place Sunday afternoon, with a mini car show and event also occurring Saturday.
On Saturday, some participants will be participating in a “poker run,” which sees motorists driving through the Saanich Peninsula.
The poker run starts at 2:30 p.m. at the Mary Winspear Centre before returning to 3rd Street between Beacon Avenue and Sidney Avenue at approximately 3:30 p.m.
3rd Street will be closed from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. for a mini car show Saturday.
On Saturday evening, there will also be a movie night at Star Cinema in Sidney, with admission of cash or non-perishable food going towards the Saanich Peninsula Lions Food Bank.
A children’s car-related movie will kick off at 4 p.m., followed by an adult car-related movie at 6 p.m.
