After 15 years with the same logo, Sidney is updating its logo and wants the public to weigh in on the two options.
In a post on the town’s website, it says the current logo’s font is difficult to read and the light-coloured tagline blends in to the white background.
The two designs were created using feedback from residents in June, when over 200 people weighed in.
The city says the first design is inspired by features around Sidney: sunrises over the Salish Sea, mountains, and floral displays. It also uses the colour palette that was the most popular in the original survey.
The second design features the Bevan Fishing Pier, Salish Sea, Gulf Islands, Mount Baker, and the sunrise. This imagery was the most popular in the June survey.
The survey will run until Aug. 8, and can be found on the town’s website.
We are updating our logo to a more accessible and professional design. We now have two design options to consider inspired by community input received in June. Let us know what you think! Please fill out this one-minute online survey by August 8th: https://t.co/znh1HRaalJ pic.twitter.com/rxJBlEhZF2
