Traffic on Trans-Canada Highway 1 through the Malahat is moving slowly, or in some cases not at all after a semi-truck spun out.
According to Emcon Services Inc., a semi-truck spun out along the highway near Shawnigan Lake Road.
Emcon says their crews are currently working to clear the crash while Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement and tow trucks are also on scene.
Multiple people reported on Twitter that northbound traffic along the highway through the Malahat has been at a complete standstill.
DriveBC had no information posted on its website regarding the incident and the majority of their webcams for the area remain down. However, some cameras show significant snowfall on the highway.
