Salt Spring school district area for Gulf Islands School District up for election, other three acclaimed

Voters in Salt Spring will vote on the school trustee for the Gulf Islands School District, while the other three areas are acclaimed.

The three acclaimed trustees are Jeannine Georgeson for Galiano Island, Greg Lucas for Pender Islands, and Chaya Katrensky for Saturna Island.

Salt Spring will have three trustees elections with six people in the running.

The school trustees will appear on the ballot alongside the electoral area ballot with voting days and times set by the Capital Regional District.

Tisha Boulter and Rob Pingle are incumbents seeking to be re-elected.

Nancy Macdonald, Jenny McClean, George Sipos, and Anna Szul are seeking to be elected.

No one stepped forward to run for the Mayne Island trustee position.
