The Saanich Police Department has arrested a man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant after his statutory release was suspended.
According to a release from Victoria police, patrol officers managed to track down Jessie Goodale on Wednesday night, after a wanted person alert was sent out on Tuesday.
Victoria Police notes that Goodale is a federal offender who is serving a four-year and ten-month sentence for aggravated assault.
“He has a lengthy history of criminal convictions for property crime, firearms possession as well as drug and violent offences.”
Saanich Police were able to locate Goodale on the evening of February 17.
Victoria Police are tipping their hat to the public, saying “thank you for sharing Jesse Goodale’s information and helping to resolve this file.”
