A driver failed a roadside breath test after driving his RV off a cliff in Saanich on Friday morning, according to police.

Just after 10:30 a.m. Saanich Police officers were called to the 1400-block of Charlton Road for a report that an RV had been driven off a cliff.

When officers arrived, they found the vehicle partially down a cliff but it had been stopped by a large tree from falling the whole way down.

The driver only suffered minor injuries. He has been issued a 90-day driving prohibition and the RV was impounded after being retrieved by a towing company.
