On this week’s segment of Road to Recovery with Douglas Magazine, CHEK’s Hannah Lepine chats with Anthony Everett, the President and CEO of 4VI.

Tourism was among the hardest hit industries through the pandemic, as businesses were forced to come up with new ideas and strategies to stay afloat.

Tourism Vancouver Island was one of them, but they are now forging a new path forward by transitioning from a destination management organization (a traditional business model in the tourism industry) to a social enterprise.

They now go by ‘4VI’, a business created to ensure that travel is a force for good on Vancouver Island.

In this episode, Anthony talks about the transition to 4VI, why they decided to change, and how they’re creating an enduring, vibrant and sustainable visitor economy.
