A global pandemic and climate crisis has inspired the mainstream business community to not only embrace sustainability as part of their business models, but become actively entrenched in contributing to climate change solutions by becoming a Business For Good, or a B Corp.

In the summer of 2019, Justin created about 45 unique flavours of hummus and dips at his home, bringing them to potlucks and parties. Shortly after, with his two best friends Adam and Eric, they started Justo’s.

“I didn’t have much business experience when I started the company back in 2019, but as my co-founder Tyler and I like to say, we’ve pretty much just been confidentially winging it the entire time,” says Justin.

Justo’s is known for delectable dips made with all-natural vegan ingredients, packaged in reusable glass jars.

The company is also a recent Douglas 10 to Watch winner and has recently been awarded a Best For The World certification in the Governance category for 2022.

In this episode, Justin talks about why they made to change to become a B-Corp and how it’s affecting their business — plus the advice they have for others considering the same journey.
