In this week’s segment of Road to Recovery with Douglas Magazine, CHEK’s Hannah Lepine chats with Jeff Bray, the CEO of the Downtown Victoria Business Association.

It’s been three years since the COVID-19 pandemic sent us into an economic lockdown that drastically altered our lives and challenged local businesses. Downtown cores were among the hardest hit, with stores closed and streets deserted.  As the economy slowly recovered, retailers experienced different challenges and new opportunities.

In this segment, Bray talks about how Victoria’s downtown fared against other urban centres during the pandemic and how our local business community is faring now.
