Road to Recovery: Indigenomics as an active movement towards reconciliation

CHEK

In this week’s segment of Road to Recovery with Douglas Magazine, CHEK’s Jasmine Bala chats with Carol Anne Hilton, the founder and CEO of the Indigenomics Institute.

The Indigenomics Institute is an economic advisory organization for the private sector, public governments and Indigenous communities. It focuses on overcoming economic barriers for Indigenous entrepreneurs by providing education and training, economic policy research and analysis, partnership development and a platform for dialogue on Indigenous economic solutions.

This year, Hilton published a best-selling book, Indigenomics: Taking a Seat at the Economic Table, about economic reconciliation and opportunities in the Indigenous economy.

The book was one of the topics of discussion at the 2021 annual virtual forum for Indigenous leaders, businesses and policymakers hosted by the Indigenomics Institute on June 22 and 23.

Hilton discusses in this episode the importance of Indigenomics, her new book, and what people can do to move towards economic reconciliation.
