The Salish Raven sits at Ogden Point in Victoria on June 7, 2017.
BC Ferries said regular sailings on the Comox-Powell River route will resume Friday morning following a mechanical difficulty that cancelled all sailings Thursday afternoon and night.
At around 1 p.m. on Thursday, BC Ferries announced that the Salish Raven had a problem with its aft thruster. This led to the cancellation of the 3:25 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. out of Little River and 5:15 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. out of Westview.
Until the mechanical issue is fixed, the Salish Orca will be used on the route starting on Friday.
