The West Shore RCMP are asking the public for help, in finding a man who approached kids from a Langford elementary school Friday morning.

Officers say just before 8 a.m. three students from Crystal View Elementary were approached by a suspicious male driving a newer small silver four door car, while they were walking to school in the area of Atkins Avenue.

The man stopped his vehicle and asked the child do you need a lift. The kids told the driver no and immediately went to school and reported what happened.

He is described as a dark skinned man in his early 20’s, with a tall and thin build, short curly hair, and a short beard or goatee.

He was wearing business clothing and had a grey shirt.

“Police patrols and canvassing for the vehicle and driver are negative so far. Investigators are requesting the driver of the silver vehicle and anyone that may have witnessed the interactions between driver and the girl to call West Shore RCMP or Crime Stoppers,” said Cpl. Chris Dovell in a statement.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call  the West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. You can also go online to www.victoriacrimestoppers.ca.
