RCMP release sketch of Duncan sex assault suspect

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP have released a sketch of a suspect wanted in connection to a sexual assault that took place in Duncan in June.

According to police, a woman was sexually assaulted by an unknown man in the Duncan area in the early hours of June 26.

The man is described by police as Caucasian, 40 years of age, with a light stubble on his face and a larger build. He has short grey hair with some gel texture.

Police said the man was driving an SUV, described as a possible 2017 – 2018 White Acura MDX or RDX. It may have been spotted in either the 2700-block of Beverly Street or in the Cowichan Bay area.

Anyone with information about the incident or anyone who can identify the man is asked to call the North Cowichan Duncan RCMP Detachment at 250-748-5522 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
