Rain warning rescinded for West and North Vancouver Island

Heavy rain is expected to hit West and North Vancouver Island by Sunday evening. Environment Canada was warning that a pacific frontal system was to bring 50-70 millimeters of rain by Sunday night to most communities in the regions, including Tofino and Port Hardy.

Zeballos and Port Alice were forecasted to anticipate up to 100 millimeters.

At around 3:00 p.m. Sunday, Environment Canada rescinded the rainfall warning.
