Province to launch review of BC Ferries in January

The province says a review will begin in January to see if BC Ferries is meeting the needs of its users and coastal communities.

The evaluation is expected to cost close to $250 thousand with a final report delivered to the government in June.

The review will not consider bringing BC Ferries back into government and will identify what improvements can be made to the existing model.

Among the list of items to analyze, the report will look at enhancing ferry service and/or bringing costs down without impacting existing service.
